Hi,
I do not know if you know my model Fast&furious

wingspan 170 cm
wing area 20 dm
Profile Mh 30
Weight with super ballast 2570g

Today I tried the model with super ballast
weight in flight 2570 g
ds speed 378 Km / h
I had a structural failure of
fuselage was built 80g glass, 120gKevlar, 110 glass
if anyone has any advice for the construction
write Please

Hi Gery,

may you give us some pic of the primary failure area.
I think it was too less material! But with some nice and close pics - we will see...
I saw structural failure during DS with on strong fuselage.

One mistake is: Kevlar without any UV-protection!
With just a little bit of sun the Kevlar loose a lot of its properties!

What about wobble / vibrations?
This kills everything...

Hi,
Tobias
the fuselage and slices of stroke with no flutter, I can not paint at home ,
I intend to make a fuselage with glass 110g+3 layers of Kevlar 120 g + kevlar 200g unidirectional+ glass 110g
not use carbon because the antenna inside the
fuselage .

Hi Gery!

In my opinion Kevlar is not stiff enought for such intended use! And just because of the antenna???

Hi Gery,

do you fly 2.4GHz or 35MHz? For 35MHz you can enlarge the antenna easily at it's end to come out of the carbon fuse. 2.4GHz might need a Kevlar/ GfK nose....

Thats it! A nose, but not the tailboom!
